I took these photos of small-town life in Oklahoma between 1976-1983. I had my first camera and felt it gave me a purpose and an entry to anywhere I wished to go. Uninhibited, I went all over town taking pictures of working folks and local landmarks. It didn’t occur to me that I was prying or not welcome — I was a kid and everyone seemed to allow the intrusion because I was young. Later, looking at the pictures, I loved the time and place they captured, now long gone.
